Khoraについて
About "Khora"
作品とは必ずしも対象を描く必要はなく、描く行為そのものの痕跡が作品として成立するのだと気づいた。それを絵画と呼ぶべきなのかわからないまま制作を続けている。
ある時「khôra」という言葉と出会った。この言葉はプラトンの書物に出てくる言葉で、あらゆる存在が生成される根源的な場といった意味だと解釈した。以来「Khora」を、描く(もしくは引く、残す、消す)行為を通じて生成される空間そのものを指し示す標としてタイトルとしている。
ある時「khôra」という言葉と出会った。この言葉はプラトンの書物に出てくる言葉で、あらゆる存在が生成される根源的な場といった意味だと解釈した。以来「Khora」を、描く(もしくは引く、残す、消す)行為を通じて生成される空間そのものを指し示す標としてタイトルとしている。
Since I started painting, I have always thought about what to depict as my subject.
At some point, I realized that it was not necessary to paint a specific subject; rather, the traces left by the act of painting itself could stand as the artwork.
Later, while reading a book on cultural geography, I came across the word "khôra". This term, which appears in Plato's writings, is interpreted as the primordial space where all existence is generated.
Since then, I have used "Khora" as a guiding concept that connects my desire to express space itself with the act of painting, making it the title of my works.
